We're looking for a research consultant

Victoria Law Foundation's research team is about to undertake a new and large, complex piece of empirical research; the Public Understanding of Law Survey (PULS) to discover what Victorians know about their justice system, its institutions and the role they see it play in their lives.

In order to increase our capacity and compliment the existing expertise within VLF, we are looking for credentialed consultancy services to contribute to the development, analysis and reporting of the PULS.

In particular, we would seek consultancy services with

• recognised empirical legal expertise in legal need survey design
• a record of innovation and expertise in empirical legal methods and approaches to capturing legal need, legal capability, knowledge of rights and attitudes to justice.

The consultancy services will bring up-to-date international expertise in legal need/legal literacy survey design, ensuring questionnaire design adheres to and develops global best practice and knowledge. This additional support will help to progress the project to the proposed timeframe and enhance its quality and influence.
